01 April 06

Today went to a farway place called Aurora. Its somewhere southwest of Libertyville. Its a area that has a big factory outlet, called Premium Outlets.

Here's how the place look like :

And heres me!

And more pics of the area :

There are 120 shops here. The more popular ones are banana republic, CK, polo raulf etc. In the polo raulf shop, saw a very nice sweater with a very nice price tag too, 300USD. Which eventually didnt buy. Heres the pic of it:

After which we went to chicago, around 5+pm. We went to the john hanncock building. Its about 97 storeys high and has a observatory at the 94th floor. But must pay 10 dollars to go up. But its good! Here is the pictures taken of chicago at night:

You can see at the picture below another attraction called the navy pier. On the left, you can see a ferris wheel.

And they also got a cute structure showing a cleaner setup where you can take picture like cleaning the windows. I actually wanted to take but the queue for it is too long. here how it looked like :

After looking at the good good view, we went off to our next destination : Hard rock cafe. Along the super cold and windy streets of chicago, We saw this church. Really very nice. And heres the pic!

And we reached hard rock!

Looks good eh. The lighting is done by macdonalds and hard rock. You see a sign called the chop house? Thats our dinner that night. We initially wanted to eat at hard rock but its an hours wait while at the chop house, its just 15min. Dont think its lousy hor, its voted the best steak house in USA.

See, even the menu look so original:

And heres the food!

okok, i know its a bit blur but its actually a 16oz new york strip. Basically, a huge chunck of beef. Not too bad, but definately not to my expectation of "Best of USA"

After the dinner, we went back as its getting late. What an eventful day.
